## **Many Managers Make Viktor Gyökeres A Priority**

[Arsenal](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/premier-league-2025-2026-mikel-arteta-tactics-data-analysis/)’s Swedish striker has almost completed his first season with the club, and it looks like he intends to finish it with a bang.

After scoring against [Atlético Madrid](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/atletico-madrid-arsenal-champions-league-2025-2026-tactical-analysis-tactics/) in the [UEFA Champions League](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/arsenal-atletico-madrid-champions-league-2025-2026-tactical-analysis-tactics/), [Viktor Gyökeres](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/viktor-gyokeres/) played a massive role in each of Arsenal’s goals in their 3-0 win over [Fulham](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/fulham-fc/) last weekend, scoring two and assisting the other.

When looking at his [Premier League](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/manchester-city-arsenal-premier-league-2025-2026-tactical-analysis-tactics/) minutes in recent weeks, he played just 6 minutes against [Manchester City](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/manchester-city/) in [Gameweek 33](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-33-analysis-fpl-gw33-tips-for-fantasy-premier-league-managers/), followed by 56 minutes against [Newcastle](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/newcastle-united/) in [Gameweek 34](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-34-analysis-fpl-gw34-tips-for-fantasy-premier-league-managers/), and then 63 minutes against Fulham in [Gameweek 35](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-35-analysis-fpl-gw35-tips-for-fantasy-premier-league-managers/).

Gyökeres did start both of Arsenal’s games against Atletico, so it may be safe to assume that his restricted Premier League minutes in recent weeks were due to being rested for Champions League football.

Compared to other forwards in FPL this season, Gyökeres sits eighth in the top-scoring forwards list, with a total of 124 points.

When compared to the rest of the Arsenal squad, only six players have outscored Gyökeres, with [Gabriel Magalhães](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/gabriel-magalhaes/) topping that list with 191 points.

FPL managers see Arsenal’s remaining fixtures against [West Ham](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/), [Burnley](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/), and [Crystal Palace](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/) as the perfect opportunity for Gyökeres to prove himself as both a good signing for Arsenal and a valuable transfer for FPL managers.

He is currently the third-most transferred-in player ahead of the new weekend, with only [Erling Haaland](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/striker-movement-tactical-theory-analysis-tactics-2025-2026/) and [Rayan Cherk](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/rayan-cherki/)i, who has a double gameweek in Gameweek 36, ahead of him.

## **Jordan Pickford Vs Caoimhín Kelleher**

[David Raya](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/david-raya/) has won the Golden Glove for the third consecutive year, so it should come as no surprise that he has the most points among all goalkeepers in FPL as things stand.

In second and third place, however, are [Brentford](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/brentford-football-club/)'s [Caoimhin Kelleher](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/) with 132 points and [Everton](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/)’s [Jordan Pickford](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/jordan-pickford/) with 129 points.

Even though Kelleher has more points as things stand, he is also the cheaper option between the two, with a price tag of £4.8m compared to Pickford’s £5.6m.

12.3% of FPL managers currently own Kelleher, while 13.0% own Jordan Pickford, so when looking at their performances on the pitch this season, which one would be the better pick for the remaining three games?

Kelleher is currently slightly outperforming his xGC (expected goals conceded) metric of 45.7, as he has conceded 43 goals so far this season.

Pickford, who has an xGC of 51.8, has only conceded 44 goals this season, outperforming his xGC metric by an even greater margin.

Pickford has made a total of 93 saves in 35 matches this season, averaging 2.65 saves per game.

Kelleher, in comparison, has made 92 saves in 34 matches this season, averaging 2.7 saves per game.

Kelleher has kept a total of 10 clean sheets this season, while Pickford has kept 11.

Brentford’s next three games are against [Manchester City,](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tactical-theory-inverted-full-backs-tactical-analysis-tactics/) [Crystal Palace,](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/) and [Liverpool](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/404/).

Everton have fixtures against Crystal Palace, [Sunderland](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/sunderland/), and [Spurs](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/spurs/) remaining.

With both keepers having had an excellent season, it will be interesting to see which of them finishes the campaign with the most FPL points.

## **Final Thoughts**

Gameweek 36 has arrived, and with only two rounds of fixtures remaining after this weekend, FPL managers are rapidly running out of opportunities to climb the rankings or defend their position.

At this stage of the season, even the smallest decisions can have a major impact on mini-league standings and overall rank.

Double gameweeks once again take centre stage in GW36, giving managers a valuable opportunity to target extra fixtures and maximise points potential.

Captaincy remains one of the biggest factors heading into the weekend, with several high-profile players carrying both strong form and favourable fixtures.

Managers willing to take calculated risks could still gain significant ground before the season reaches its conclusion.

With the finish line now firmly in sight, one or two smart calls could still define your season.

Here’s to a successful Gameweek 36!
