## **FPL Managers Move For Morgan Rogers**

[Chelsea](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/chelsea-fc/)’s big summer signing has been in excellent form since the start of the season, and FPL managers who have had the midfielder in their sides from the beginning would have received an attacking return from him in every gameweek so far.

In [Gameweek 1](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-1-analysis-fpl-gw1-tips-for-fantasy-premier-league-managers/), [Morgan Rogers ](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/morgan-rogers/)scored against [Fulham](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/fulham-fc/).

In [Gameweek 2](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-2-analysis-fpl-gw2-tips-for-fantasy-premier-league-managers/), he provided an assist against [Brighton](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/brighton-hove-albion/), followed by another goal against [Arsenal](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/arsenal/) in [Gameweek 3](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-3-tips-11-key-takeaways-from-the-opening-two-gameweeks/), before scoring his third of the season against [Hull](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/hull-city-2/) in [Gameweek 4](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/fpl-gameweek-4-wildcard-guide-2026-27/).

Rogers has accumulated a total of 27 FPL points so far, ranking him eighth among all midfielders, and is priced at £7.7m after already having received a price increase.

Chelsea have upcoming league fixtures against [Brentford](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/brentford-football-club/) (A) this weekend, followed by [Bournemouth](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/afc-bournemouth/) (H) and [Everton](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/everton/) (A), and FPL fans seem confident that he will continue providing attacking returns, as Rogers is the most transferred-in player ahead of the new gameweek.

## **Emersonn Vs Dominic Calvert-Lewin**

When looking at budget-friendly attacking options at this stage of the season, two names that stand out are [Ipswich](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/ipswich-town/)’s [Emersonn](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/emersonn/) and [Leeds](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/leeds-united/)’ [Dominic Calvert-Lewin](https://tacticalfootballanalysis.com/tag/dominic-calvert-lewin/).

After four matchweeks, Emersonn has 24 FPL points and is priced at £5.5m, while Calvert-Lewin has accumulated 20 FPL points and is priced at £6.0m.

With their FPL stats so closely matched, who looks like the better pick when comparing their performances on the pitch?

Both players have made four appearances this season, with Emersonn having played 240 minutes compared to Calvert-Lewin’s 331\.

Throughout those appearances, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has made four goal contributions, with three goals and one assist.

Emersonn has three goal contributions so far, with two goals and one assist.

Calvert-Lewin has had 14 touches in the opposition box so far this season, four of which resulted in a shot.

Emersonn has had 13 touches in the opposition box, with only two shots resulting from those touches.

So far, Emersonn has completed five dribbles, while Calvert-Lewin has completed four.

One thing that separates them so far is their discipline. Emersonn has committed one foul and received no bookings, while Calvert-Lewin has committed eight fouls and received three bookings, which have also resulted in three points being deducted from his FPL owners’ scores.

With both of these budget options having started the season with a couple of attacking returns, it will be interesting to see which of the two finishes the season with more FPL points.

## **Final Thoughts**

With four rounds of Premier League fixtures now behind us, FPL managers are beginning to have a much clearer picture of how the season may develop and which early trends could be worth following.

There is now more information available when making decisions, but four gameweeks still represent a relatively small sample size.

Points, form and price changes can all influence transfers, although upcoming fixtures, expected minutes and overall performances should remain important considerations when planning ahead.

Squad value is also beginning to play a bigger role, with several assets already receiving noticeable price increases.

Moving early can sometimes help managers avoid being priced out of a transfer, but chasing every price rise can just as easily lead to unnecessary changes.

With the Gameweek 5 deadline approaching, managers should continue looking beyond just the next fixture and consider how each transfer fits into their longer-term plans.

Captaincy decisions, squad structure and the use of chips should all be considered carefully as the season begins to take shape.
