FPL Managers Move For Morgan Rogers

Chelsea’s big summer signing has been in excellent form since the start of the season, and FPL managers who have had the midfielder in their sides from the beginning would have received an attacking return from him in every gameweek so far.

In Gameweek 1, Morgan Rogers scored against Fulham.

In Gameweek 2, he provided an assist against Brighton, followed by another goal against Arsenal in Gameweek 3, before scoring his third of the season against Hull in Gameweek 4.

Rogers has accumulated a total of 27 FPL points so far, ranking him eighth among all midfielders, and is priced at £7.7m after already having received a price increase.

Chelsea have upcoming league fixtures against Brentford (A) this weekend, followed by Bournemouth (H) and Everton (A), and FPL fans seem confident that he will continue providing attacking returns, as Rogers is the most transferred-in player ahead of the new gameweek.

Emersonn Vs Dominic Calvert-Lewin

When looking at budget-friendly attacking options at this stage of the season, two names that stand out are Ipswich’s Emersonn and Leeds’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

After four matchweeks, Emersonn has 24 FPL points and is priced at £5.5m, while Calvert-Lewin has accumulated 20 FPL points and is priced at £6.0m.

Both players have made four appearances this season, with Emersonn having played 240 minutes compared to Calvert-Lewin’s 331.

Calvert-Lewin has had 14 touches in the opposition box so far this season, four of which resulted in a shot.

Emersonn has had 13 touches in the opposition box, with only two shots resulting from those touches.

So far, Emersonn has completed five dribbles, while Calvert-Lewin has completed four.

One thing that separates them so far is their discipline. Emersonn has committed one foul and received no bookings, while Calvert-Lewin has committed eight fouls and received three bookings, which have also resulted in three points being deducted from his FPL owners’ scores.

With both of these budget options having started the season with a couple of attacking returns, it will be interesting to see which of the two finishes the season with more FPL points.
