Ismael Saibari is a versatile player.
He is fundamentally an attack-minded player, most naturally an attacking midfielder.
However, he has spent stretches of his career playing on the right and has even been used as a centre-forward.
Max Eberl, the FC Bayern Director of Sport, described the signing by saying Saibari "will bring extra quality and unpredictability to our attacking play."
The word unpredictability is the key that unlocks his tactical value.
Bayern are buying Saibari's behaviours, which include the ability to receive under pressure, carry through contact, and arrive late into the box.
The common theme in all the above actions is the desire to be the first to everything, even if the odds are not in his favour.
