FPL Managers Move For Jérémy Doku
Manchester City’s Belgian winger has made 28 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, with 18 starts and 10 appearances off the bench.
Before his surprise exclusion from the City side that beat Crystal Palace 3-0 last night, Jérémy Doku had registered four goal contributions in his previous three games, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Despite his limited starts, Doku has averaged one goal contribution every 169 minutes this season, with his output split evenly between goals and assists at five each.
However, his overall FPL record this season has not been particularly impressive.
There are currently 33 midfielders who have accumulated more FPL points than Doku, with the Belgian winger sitting on a total of 117 points.
Manchester City face AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa in their next two fixtures, and many FPL managers believe Doku could still have a significant influence on the title race over the coming weeks.
That optimism is reflected by the fact that he is currently the most transferred-in player ahead of the new gameweek.
Nico O’Reilly Vs Matheus Nunes
Two players who have been consistent starters for Manchester City this season are full-backs, Nico O'Reilly and Matheus Nunes.
FPL managers who invested in either of these defensive options early in the season have certainly been rewarded.
With both players likely to be very attractive options for next season’s Fantasy Premier League, which one has offered better value this season?
Nico O’Reilly and Matheus Nunes are both currently priced at £5.3m, with O’Reilly having scored a total of 158 FPL points and Nunes close behind on 152.
O’Reilly has been the greater goal threat, scoring five goals from a total of 21 shots so far this season.
Three of those efforts came from outside the box, while 18 were taken from inside the opposition’s penalty area.
In comparison, Nunes has taken only two shots in the Premier League this season, one from inside the box and one from outside it.
His shot from inside the area came against Burnley back in Gameweek 6, where he found the net.
In that same match, Nunes also provided an assist, something he has done more frequently than O’Reilly this season.
Nunes has registered a total of five assists this season after completing 65 crosses and five through balls.
By comparison, O’Reilly has registered three assists after completing 37 crosses and just one through ball.
Defensively, Nunes holds a slight edge, with 191 defensive contributions compared to O’Reilly’s 167.
With these two defensive options matching up so closely, it will be interesting to see which of them finishes the season with more FPL points.

Differential Captain Pick Of The Week
Gabriel Magalhães
It will be difficult for Burnley to break down Arsenal’s defence at the Emirates Stadium, and many would expect Arsenal to keep a clean sheet this weekend.
Gabriel Magalhães will likely be at the forefront of everything that goes well defensively for Arsenal, and with 25 FPL points in his last three Premier League outings, he could reward those who give him the armband this weekend.

Final Thoughts
Gameweek 37 has arrived, and with just one round of fixtures remaining after this weekend, FPL managers have reached the final two FPL matchweeks of the season.
At this stage, every transfer, captaincy call, and benching decision carries extra weight, with mini-league titles and overall rank still hanging in the balance.
With clubs continuing to fight for league titles, European qualification and survival, motivation levels across the Premier League remain high.
That creates an interesting dynamic for FPL managers, as targeting players with something significant still to play for could prove crucial over the coming weeks.
Captaincy once again looks set to be a defining factor in Gameweek 37, with several premium assets heading into the weekend in strong form.
At the same time, differential picks may become increasingly important for managers chasing rank, as safe selections alone may no longer be enough to make up ground.
Rotation and late-season unpredictability also remain major concerns, especially with squad depth becoming more important for clubs managing fatigue and injuries.
Keeping a close eye on team news could make all the difference.
With the season nearly over, there is still time for one big push before the finish line. Here’s to a successful Gameweek 37!
