FPL Managers Are Choosing Jarrod Bowen
It is not often that the most transferred-in player of the week is someone who has blanked in each of his last three Premier League appearances, but FPL managers are clearly backing Jarrod Bowen to deliver in Gameweek 38.
With so much on the line for West Ham heading into the final weekend of the season, many believe Bowen could outperform several of the more popular forward options.
Although his recent returns have slowed down, Bowen has still been one of the standout forwards in the Fantasy Premier League this season.
His total of 175 FPL points ranks fourth among all forwards in the game, highlighting the consistency he has shown across the campaign despite West Ham’s mixed form at times.
A large part of Bowen’s appeal comes from his ability to contribute in multiple ways.
He has registered 20 goal contributions in the Premier League this season, scoring eight goals while also providing 12 assists.
That creative output has made him one of the most reliable attacking players in the league, especially in matches where West Ham are expected to play on the front foot.
With Leeds set to be their final opponents of the season, Bowen will be aiming to finish the campaign strongly and reward the many FPL managers who have placed their trust in him ahead of the final deadline.
Marcos Senesi Vs Virgil Van Dijk
Virgil van Dijk and Marcos Senesi have been two of the best defensive options in FPL this season, and with only one game remaining, they are both level on 173 FPL points.
Whoever scores more points tomorrow will likely finish as the third-highest scoring defender in the game this season.
With the two currently so closely matched in FPL terms, let’s take a look at their performances on the pitch to see which player may have had the stronger campaign.
Van Dijk has made 37 appearances for Liverpool this season, featuring in every league match for the Reds.
Marcos Senesi, meanwhile, has made 36 appearances for Bournemouth, totalling 3200 minutes on the pitch.
Van Dijk has moved the ball around far more frequently than Senesi, completing 2729 passes in total compared to Senesi’s 2244.
However, Senesi has shown more variety in his distribution, attempting 461 long passes and 25 crosses, compared to Van Dijk’s 289 long passes and one cross.
Senesi has also completed 14 through balls this season, while Van Dijk has managed two.
Van Dijk has been far more effective in front of goal, though, scoring six times this season compared to Senesi’s zero goals.
Senesi does hold the advantage creatively, having registered five assists, while Van Dijk has no assists to his name.
Defensively, Senesi has been required to do more work throughout the season, recording 60 tackles, 55 interceptions and 45 blocks, compared to Van Dijk’s 22 tackles, 26 interceptions and 24 blocks.
Senesi has also committed more fouls this season, with 34 compared to Van Dijk’s 19.
With Liverpool facing Brentford this weekend and Bournemouth taking on Nottingham Forest, it will be interesting to see which of these two defensive assets finishes the season with the higher FPL total.

Differential Captain Pick Of The Week
Dominik Szoboszlai
Liverpool will be looking to put a disappointing season behind them this weekend, with most of their players having struggled for consistency throughout the campaign, apart from Dominik Szoboszlai, who has been their standout performer this season.
Szoboszlai will be aiming to end the campaign on a high after collecting 24 FPL points across his last three outings.
Those who hand him the captain’s armband this weekend could be rewarded with a valuable final boost before the season concludes.

Final Thoughts
Gameweek 38 is here, and with it comes the final round of the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League season.
Although Arsenal have already secured the Premier League title, there is still plenty to play for in FPL, with many mini-leagues and overall rank battles set to be decided this weekend.
The final gameweek of the season is often one of the most entertaining, with goals regularly flowing across the league.
That gives FPL managers one last opportunity to gain ground through a strong captaincy pick or a well-timed differential.
With every team playing at the same time, there should also be plenty of drama across the Premier League as clubs look to finish the campaign on a high.
Motivation will still be important for sides chasing European qualification and other league objectives, which could have a major impact on FPL returns.
After a long season of transfers, captaincy decisions and tight rank swings, it all comes down to one final gameweek.
Good luck for Gameweek 38, and see you next season!
